The TOR100, part of the Tor des Géants circuit, is one of the most significant races in the Aosta Valley event's program, challenging athletes with the essence of ultra-trail running: distance, elevation gain, technical terrain, and effort management. It is not just about speed, but the ability to pace oneself, maintain rhythm, and stay focused until the finish line.
On a 100 km course, Alessio Donati built his race kilometer by kilometer, staying in the top positions until the very end. He finished in 16 hours and 59 minutes, securing 3rd place at the TOR100.
A notable result within one of the iconic events of Italian ultra-trail running, which adds a new chapter to the journey of Alessio and the Fessura Trail Team.
GSR Team: technology developed in the field
On Alessio's feet for this challenge was the GSR N Team, a model launched in 2026 as an evolution of the GSR, introduced by Fessura in 2025. A project that updates and develops the model through experience gained in the field and direct feedback from athletes.
The project was born from experience gained directly on the trails and through interaction with athletes in real-world racing conditions. The GSR N represents a lighter and more minimalist evolution, developed to offer freedom of movement and responsiveness without sacrificing the technical characteristics required to tackle long distances.

At the heart of the project is the Slot Technology, a proprietary Fessura system that uses a specific midsole geometry to support foot dynamics and promote cushioning, responsiveness, and energy return.
A technology created to manage movement dynamically, which must continue to perform over long distances as kilometers, elevation, and fatigue increase.
The shoe also brings an evolution in construction, developed to offer greater freedom in the ankle area, a more protective structure, and increased upper durability. A set of solutions derived from Fessura's continuous field work, where every race becomes a testing ground.
A result that speaks to the Team
Alessio Donati's podium is also significant for the Fessura Trail Team, created to bring the brand directly onto the trails and test it against the diverse conditions that characterize trail running. The Team is a true moving laboratory. Athletes test materials and technologies in real race conditions, gathering experience that can be fed back into future product development.
It is a continuous relationship between athlete, product, and terrain: competitions become the place where technological research is put to the test and the athletes' experience helps evolve the project.
We are proud of Alessio and the result achieved. A new podium for the Fessura Trail Team and another step in Fessura's journey into the world of performance and ultra-trail running.
