Riccardo Pianesi leaves his mark in Nice
Our athlete Riccardo Pianesi faced one of the toughest tests: the Nice Côte d'Azur by UTMB , taking part in the 159 km race with 8,200 meters of elevation gain.
A technical and unforgiving terrain, made even more difficult by the unusually low temperatures for the season.
Riccardo, a lover of long distances, managed every phase of the race with clarity, alternating strength and strategy, and finished in 22 hours and 35 minutes . A result that earned him 8th place overall and, above all, the title of first Italian to cross the finish line .
A feat that speaks not only to his talent, but also to his ability to remain focused and determined when fatigue sets in. A display of strength, resilience, and great sporting maturity that marks another important step for our team.
Forconi dominates in Umbria, Fitti convinces with technique and consistency
From the French Riviera to Umbria, the baton passed to Giacomo Forconi and Annalisa Fitti , protagonists of the Bettona Crossing (50 km, 2,000 D+).
Forconi delivered a memorable performance: overall victory, a new course record, and a full 30-minute lead over the second-place finisher. This triumph once again demonstrates his ability to manage long distances with intelligence and strength. Fitti, on the other hand, demonstrated determination and great solidity, finishing an excellent fourth place overall and the victory in his category. His performance confirmed the work he's put in over the past few months and his perseverance in achieving increasingly ambitious goals.
Donati inaugurates the Alpe di Catenia
In Tuscany, Donati took part in the first edition of the Alpe di Catenia Trail (20 km, 1,100 m altitude gain).
A new route, immersed in nature and characterized by steep climbs and dense forests, where Donati set the pace from the start. His flawless race saw him cross the finish line as the winner, thus securing the first overall victory in the history of the competition . This performance is not only a personal success, but also a sign of how our team knows how to write important chapters in every new adventure.
Maresca continues to shine in Campania
Also over the weekend, Mario Maresca tackled the Trail delle Chiancollelle (11 km, 700 D+).
A short but challenging course, with technical sections and fast descents, which Maresca dominated decisively. He finished first overall , confirming his growth and consistency. One of the team's newest additions, Mario is becoming a key figure in trail running in Southern Italy, capable of dominating a variety of contexts and turning every race into an opportunity to make his mark.
Andrea Tamiazzo and his road debut
The weekend concluded with Andrea Tamiazzo 's seasonal road debut , competing in the Monza21 . It was a special occasion, as he ran while testing prototypes of the new Race 01 , Fessura's signature plate running shoe. This model combines speed, responsiveness, and stability, paving the way for a new chapter in the world of road running. With his race, Andrea not only kicked off the season, but also demonstrated how our brand is ready to look beyond, toward new disciplines and new horizons.
A season that leaves its mark
Fessura continues to grow and expand, bringing its name and products to new territories. We started just a year ago with local races in the Marche region: today our athletes race and win throughout Italy and beyond, demonstrating that passion can become a movement capable of inspiring more and more people. This past weekend demonstrates that Fessura is a living project , made of energy, innovation, and performance. The GSR confirms itself as a reliable and versatile trail shoe, but this is just the beginning: new projects and new models are already on the way.
Now our gaze is turned towards the next milestone: the Puglia UTMB is upon us, and the Fessura team is ready to make its mark, in our own way. Every race, every finish line, and every smile on the podium tell the same story: that of athletes and a brand that believe in performance as a universal language of energy, passion, and freedom.
