Legendary debut at the UTMB Mont Blanc
The 2025 edition of the UTMB Mont Blanc , the most iconic race on the UTMB circuit, has concluded .
For the first time, Fessura wrote its name on this legendary route, fielding four athletes: Esteban Garcia in the TDS – 153 km with 9000D+ – and Marco Bellini, Alessio Donati and Patrizio Bartolini in the queen race, the UTMB – 174 km with 9900D+.
Both events were extreme: in addition to the challenging course, the weather put everyone to the test. Summer storms, gusts of violent wind, and unexpected snowfall upended the plans of many runners.
Our team was no exception: Esteban in the TDS, then Alessio and Patrizio in the UTMB, were forced to stop due to physical complications and injuries.
But an athlete's worth isn't measured solely by their achievements. Even knowing how to say "stop" is a sign of resilience and courage. We at Fessura are proud of each of our athletes.
But one athlete on our team decided not to give up. Marco Bellini, despite physical challenges and extreme weather conditions, continued with a cool head and a clear head, overcoming opponents one after another and taking home an extraordinary result: the first Italian to cross the finish line and 36th overall out of over 2,000 participants from around the world. And as if that weren't enough, at the end of the race he transformed the fatigue into pure emotion, with a romantic marriage proposal.
A placing that speaks of fierce determination, mental endurance, and a strength capable of transforming difficulties into opportunities.

On the Gran Sasso, at the Trail del Gigante, Fessura athletes achieved several podiums.
While the eyes of the world were on Mont Blanc, central Italy also saw an epic challenge, in the first edition of the Trail del Gigante on Gran Sasso .
Our athletes made their mark here: Riccardo Pianesi took first place in the 37km race with 2700D+ . In the 11km race with 700D+ , Mirko Fioretti and Alberto Mattia Perronace completed the podium with second and third place overall .
